Artifact Evaluation Submission Step 1:
Preparing your Shipment Now that you have reviewed our Authentication Services we will begin the submission process. Step 1 of our submission process involves selecting the items you wish to submit. We will evaluate anything you submit to us, however many of our clients prefer to submit items they only value above a certain level. Once you have selected the items, you must prepare an invoice sheet. An invoice sheet is simply a list of the items you are submitting, along with each individual piece's associated provenance or history - i.e. where it was found, previous owners, if it has been published in a artifact book or magazine etc. Many of our clients simply submit the county and state in which it was found, others have very detailed information going back to the date it was found, who found it, the farm it was found on, etc.. IF YOU DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR CONTACT OR RETURN SHIPPING ADDRESS After completing the invoice, affix removable numbered stickers to each item which matches the number on the invoice. Packaging your items for shipment is very simple. Just wrap each piece individually in bubble-wrap, then place inside a reasonably large box which has been padded with more bubble-wrap or perhaps wadded-up newspaper. Heavy items like axes or celts, or particularly fragile items, like pottery, we highly suggest double-boxing to protect them during shipping. |
