We submit the samples to either the internationally respected Bortolot-Daybreak Nuclear Archaeometric labs or the University of Illinois at Chicago Luminescence Dating Research Laboratory for Thermoluminescence or 'TL' dating. Pricing for this service varies depending on the lab used.

Daybreak Archaeometric TL Testing including Jackson Galleries' own evaluation service starts at $375.00 per item.

University of Illinois TL Testing including Jackson Galleries' own evalaution service starts at $850.00 per item.

Jackson Galleries also offers radiometric dating of organic material through the C14 or Carbon-14 dating method through a working relationship with GeoChron Labs in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence tasting offers the ability to tell you where the obsidian came from that made your artifact.
